What does mobify documentation mean when they say "feature detection"?

I am having issues getting the mobile page delivered when I spoof the user agent of my request header on desktop Chrome to match my phone. I am using Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 4.2.1; en-us; Nexus 4 Build/JOP40D) AppleWebKit/535.19 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/18.0.1025.166 Mobile Safari/535.19

What "feature detection" is used? Is there a way to emulate it?

Thanks for letting us know – we use user agent detection to enable the mobile site, not feature detection. I’ll update the documentation to reflect that.

Changing your user agent in your browser should technically work. Can you tell me what URL you’re using? Does the site work on actual mobile devices?
